JCC Community Connections
JCC Community Connections aims to foster a love and passion for music and art among underserved audiences through world-class chamber music performances in community venues.
Continuing its partnerships with Allegro Music Consultants and WRTI in 2024/25, JCC Community Connections presents four days of educational programming in Philadelphia public schools and multiple performances at senior living facilities in the greater Philadelphia region.
The Jasper String Quartet is nationally renowned for its powerful performances in concert halls and its passion for connecting with audiences beyond the stage. The Quartet is a recipient of Chamber Music America’s prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award and is the Professional Quartet-in-Residence at Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians. The Quartet has received numerous Picasso Project grants from Public Citizens for Children and Youth to support its ongoing work with public schools in Philadelphia, as well as the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association’s Educator Award, recognizing the Quartet's "outstanding and imaginative programming for children and youth in the United States.”
